T22 - How it Works Once the T22 unit is placed in a vehicle or other static or moveable asset, the user only needs a mobile phone to check its location. The NAT- T22 regularly updates its position from the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite navigation system. Inside the NAT- T22 is a GSM modem/phone and a SIM card, so all you need to do is send a text message (SMS) to use the system. No third party servers are required with the NAT- T22, so your locations are always secure. For example, a text message containing the word "find" is sent to a vehicle's T22 mobile number. You can use a PC with a NAT- T22 to show the position on a digital map. Send text messages from your PC (using a suitable GSM modem plugged into your PC) and the T22 will return the position to your PC where it can be displayed on the digital map using "TrackMeGo" PC software, available from NAT-T22 (UK or NIG). You can also plug in a cable to the T22 and connect it directly to the USB port of your PC. The T22 can then be configured to output the GPS position data directly to your PC so you could use it as a source of GPS data for vehicle navigation software or for marine chart plotting.
